Тема урока: Best known meals of English speaking countries. Well known and new recipes.

Практические задачи:

1.Усовершенствовать знания учащихся по теме модуля «Продукты. Национальные кухни».

2.Усовершенствовать и обобщать знания учащихся по грамматике. Article a/an. Some. Countable/Uncountable Nouns. How many/How much.

3. Воспринимать незнакомую информацию на слух.

4. Анализировать прочитанную, увиденную и услышанную информацию.

 

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развивать навыки говорения (монологической речи), аудирования и письма.

2. Развивать память, внимание, мышление.

3. Развивать навыки анализа.

 

Воспитательные задачи и цели:

1. Воспитывать самоорганизацию учебной деятельности.

2. Развивать самостоятельность в работе с дополнительными источниками информации.

3. Воспитывать положительное отношение к английскому языку, культуре и традициям.

Ход урока

I. Организационный этап

Постановка цели и задачи. Мотивация учебной деятельности обучающихся.

The aims of our lesson are to:

  • make sentences with new words;
  • use articles a/an or some with countable and uncountable nouns;
  • use phrases How much/How many in dialogues;
  • get information about traditional American, British and Canadian meals (about their history and how they are made);
  • write a recipe;

 

Фонетическая разминка

Let us warm up tongues. Let’s start from tongue twisters:

1. Give papa a cup of proper coffee in a copper coffee cup.

2. Can you can a can as a canner can can a can?

3. Yellow butter, red jam, brown bread, spread it thick, say it quick!

4. My brother buys black, bananas by the bunch.

 

II. Активизация мыслительной деятельности учащихся.

1. Развитие навыков аудирования.

Match the words to their definitions.

  • to make a thin cut (to slice)
  • to raise the temperature of water or other liquid until it bubbles (to boil)

2. Речевая разминка.

Make sentences with words you can see on the board.

III. Закрепление материала в знакомой ситуации

  1. Отработка лексического материала.

Underline the correct word. Choose the right answer.

1. First, peel and slice/fry/mix the onion.
2. Next, peel/cut/toss/ the chicken into small pieces.
3. Then, melt/fry/boil the onions and chicken in a little oil until golden brown.
4. After that, add the tomato juice and bring to the boil/bake/grill for two minutes.
5. Next, mix/add/pour the mixture into a serving dish.
6. Then, cut/put/grate some cheese and sprinkle/toss/pour it over the mixture.
7. Put the dish under oven/grill/plate for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
8. Finally, toss/shake/put a green salad with some vinaigrette dressing and serve with the finished dish.

3. Retell the text, using the following phrases as a plan under the title of each text.

Write a project under the title “A best known meal of the world”, using the following information:

  • What do you know about its history?
  • What are its ingredients?
  • Write the ways of its preparation.
